What have I reacently read!

giphy-downsized

I have a reading slump.Like one of the worst, I have ever had.But still, I do force myself to read(I’m slightly obsessed with documentaries lately, hell I’m watching one as I’m writing all of this).Let’s see what have I forced myself to read…

dimple

When Dimple Met Rishi

by Sandhya Menon

Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?

Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself.

The Shahs and Patels didn’t mean to start turning the wheels on this “suggested arrangement” so early in their children’s lives, but when they noticed them both gravitate toward the same summer program, they figured, Why not?

Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But when opposites clash, love works hard to prove itself in the most unexpected ways.

My Thoughts: One of the most talked books for some time. And I did like it,very cute and funny book.

love fortune

Love Fortunes and Other Disasters(Grimbaud #1)

by Kimberly Karalius

Love is real in the town of Grimbaud, and Fallon Dupree has dreamed of attending high school there for years. After all, generations of Duprees have successfully followed the (100% accurate!) love fortunes from Zita’s famous Love Charms Shop to happily marry their high school sweethearts. It’s a tradition. So she is both stunned and devastated when her fortune states that she will NEVER find love.

Fortunately, Fallon isn’t the only student with a terrible love fortune, and a rebellion is brewing. Fallon is determined to take control of her own fate—even if it means working with a notorious heartbreaker like Sebastian.

Will Fallon and Sebastian be able to overthrow Zita’s tyranny and fall in love?

My Thoughts: When I started reading I expected a fluffy love story with some funny moment… But I got so much more then that!Seriously for me this was an epic story about town obsessed with love fortune, crazy fortune teller lady, old family secret and first love….Simple amazing!

Dating the Billionaire

by Poppy Dunne

I’m Dahlia Rossi, dating coach extraordinaire. I know how to land you the man of your dreams. Follow my rules, you’ll meet the love of your life and have a gorgeous destination wedding in French Polynesia. Okay, that last one happened just the one time. But my rules work every time. I guarantee it.

1. The man makes the first move. Seems unfair? Life’s unfair.
2. Never have sex on the first date. No, not even oral. And hands above the table, please.
3. Play hard to get, but don’t make it too hard.

Solid rules, right? I thought they were. But then I met Jack Carraway, an impossibly sexy, frustratingly unpredictable billionaire, and broke them all. Everywhere. In an elevator. On a balcony. Beneath a gazebo, of all places.

Whether I like it or not (spoiler alert: I like it!), Jack is taking me on wild adventure and we’re writing a whole new set of rules. Like, always reserve your matching Harry Potter costumes a week in advance; wrestling swans is not as easy as it looks; and sometimes, the man of your dreams pops up in the most unlikely of places and has a really big…boat.

After years of watching couples find love, it may be my turn. But is this spontaneous playboy the real thing, or just a fun detour around my predictable life? All this time I’ve been following my own rules and going to sleep alone, with nothing but my second slice of princess cake to keep me company.

But the more time I spend with Jack, the more I learn that rules…they’re meant to be broken.

My Thoughts: I expected lots of sexy time, but I got a fluffy love story instead.

barbarian

Barbarian’s Tease (Ice Planet Barbarians #16)

byRuby Dixon

It should have been a one-night stand.

I never intended to seduce Taushen, but things happened. I don’t dwell on the past and while it was great, I’m not looking for a relationship. Of course, try telling that to Taushen. The big blue alien’s in love after one night, and it’s making things darn awkward. We’ve got bigger problems than whether or not I’m his woman, like the ‘cargo’ of the space ship that landed here.

But Taushen’s not giving up. He thinks I’m his mate.

And he’ll do anything to keep me.

My Thoughts: I just love Ice Planet Barbarians series …And I Can say it one of my favorite books in the series.

captive vows

Captive Vow

by Alta Hensley

DISCLAIMER:If you are under 18 this book is not for you!

I take you.
To honor and obey.
Till death do us part.
This is my solemn vow.

I am caught in the madness of a deep obsession. Stolen away to become his perfect and dutiful wife.
Trapped in a twisted and dark courtship. Forced and trained in the wifely duties of an obedient bride.
I am his.
Captive ever after…

***Captive Vow is a dark romantic thriller. If you don’t like a sprinkle of shock, a dash of taboo, and a heavy dose of sex, then don’t take a sip of my cocktail.

My Thoughts: Not as dark how I expected it to be.It was interesting, but nothing special.

Tell me in the comments, What is the last book you have read?Did you like it?

That’s it from me

Till next time 🙂

What Did I Read Last Week!

Yey!Another post about books.If you didn’t guess by now I love to read…And I do that a books giflot..Like A LOT!

But last week was a pretty tame in my reading life, I got sick(I’m feeling much better now), my mom got sick basically a mess in my house.Let’s not talk about bad stuff, let’s talk about BOOK!

Manga:Last Game Volumes 1 and 2

He’s rich, he’s smart, girls gather around him all the time, and he has always gotten first place on his exams… well, until Kujou transferred in his primary school class. She was quiet, plain, and poor, yet not once has she failed at beating Yanagi, both in academics and sports! Yanagi has made it his life goal to defeat this girl Kujou, and ten years later, as they enter high school, he just might finally win! This is the story of their last game.

My Thoughts: Great manga.Loved the art style. It gave me lots of Ouran Host club vibes(in a good way).Very sweet and cute love story between our main couple. Can’t wait to read it all!

how to bang a billionaire

How To Bang A Billionaire

DISCLAIMER:If you are under 18 this book is not for you!

Rules are made to be broken . . .

If England had yearbooks, I’d probably be “Arden St. Ives: Man Least Likely to Set the World on Fire.” So far, I haven’t. I’ve no idea what I’m doing at Oxford, no idea what I’m going to do next and, until a week ago, I had no idea who Caspian Hart was. Turns out, he’s brilliant, beautiful . . . oh yeah, and a billionaire. It’s impossible not to be captivated by someone like that. But Caspian Hart makes his own rules. And he has a lot of them. About when I can be with him. What I can do with him. And when he’ll be through with me.I’m good at doing what I’m told in the bedroom. The rest of the time, not so much. And now that Caspian’s shown me glimpses of the man behind the billionaire I know it’s him I want. Not his wealth, not his status. Him. Except that might be the one thing he doesn’t have the power to give me.

My Thoughts:  My favorite book of last month.I loved beeing in Arden’s head (almost all book is from his point of view). He is just so funny and the love between Arden and Caspian ..just magic.I ship them both sooo hard!

from 5 to 9 manga

Manga:From 5 to 9 Volume 1

From Day of the River: Sakuraba Junko is turning 27 years old soon, but even so, she is without a boyfriend. But who cares?! Junko has a stable job as an English teacher and she is fine with spending her upcoming birthday alone. Well, until she is set up with on an omiai with a Buddhist monk… which, of course, she rejects. But then he shows up at her school where he has enrolled in private lessons… what will become of our Junko-sensei?

My Thoughts: I did find this manga after watching the live adaptation(my Love Yamapi is in the cast). And I can say I liked life adaptation much more than the manga. The manga is problematic and the relationship is very abusive, but you have none of it in the live adaptation. So my recommendation just skip the manga and watch the drama.

murdered in Wizard's wood.jpg

Murder in Wizard’s Wood (Bittergate #1)

For centuries, Southern peanut farmer Jedediah Shine has protected secret preserves of Wild Fey from humanity. He’s shielded modern humanity from bloodthirsty Fey. Unknown factions from both are dropping fresh corpses on his lawn, leaving Jedediah holding the body bags.A vengeful mercenary company resurrect an ancient blood feud. Forewarned against direct action, the Namhaid orchestrate a subtle plot pitting the wizard against law enforcement agencies. Rebellious young centaurs challenge borders guarded by the wizard to keep them hidden. They unleash a genocidal war on humanity and the Guardians keeping them caged. Unwitting pawns of a deeper menace, both serve a greater plot to rob Jedediah of magic’s deepest secret.
Woods filled with murder victims vie for Jedediah’s attention against a jealous elven ex-lover and Jedediah’s new, seemingly reincarnated girlfriend. Two out-of-control teenage sorceresses and a Cherry Coke addicted dragonling further complicate Jedediah’s attempts to root out the mysterious murderers.A Federal manhunt leaves Jedediah’s charges unprotected. Centaurs attack his foster daughter. A rogue Namhaid agent takes the fight to Jedediah, intent to carve a reputation from the wizard’s corpse. His assault nearly kills the young dragonling, putting Jedediah on its mother’s dinner menu.In order to protect his loved ones and the Golden Gate to magic’s source, Jedediah must stop the Namhaid, clear his name and avoid ending up a snack. When all seems lost, a seemingly desperate enemy offers Jedediah a key to unraveling all. Could it merely be the bait on the most sinister trap yet? Does he have a choice? What will it cost to stop the murders in his wood?

My Thoughts: Wow!This one was a wild ride from finish till the end. From the cover, you really expect some high fantasy medieval type of book, but it’s not that at all. It’s really set in the “modern” world. The story did go very smoothly and the way it was written I did enjoy, just sometimes I was a little- confused what’s going on, but I think that’s more just my problem (English is my 4th Language ). Overall I think it’s an interesting book.

That’s it from Me!

Till next time 🙂

Vegan Diet for Beginners By Sam Kuma

I’m vegetarian from birth (thanks, mom, and dad)and recently I found out I’m lactose intolerant( “Lucky me”).So I’m getting more and more interested in Vegan lifestyle, and getting a cookbook is the best way(in mine opinion)to just try if this lifestyle is for you. And when I got the opportunity to get my hands on this one I was really excited.

Vegan: Vegan Diet for Beginners: 76 Recipes and 8 Weeks of Diet Plans

Book Description: What can a Vegan diet do for you? Lose weight, lower cholesterol, save the environment; you name it.
This is a complete beginners’ guide that you will struggle to find on the market. A total of 8 weeks of diet plans focused only on vegan recipes.
Are you curious about veganism or the vegan lifestyle? Do you want to start taking care of your body and perhaps the planet as well? Do you want to lead a healthier life? Did you simply want to give the vegan diet a try? But you don’t know where to start. You don’t know the kind of foods that you can eat. Then this book would be the perfect choice for you. This book will provide you with a diet plan that is perfect for beginners.
There are many health benefits of following a vegan diet and its time to reap these benefits. You will lose weight and you will be able to keep it off, you will be eating better and healthier foods, and not just this, but you will also be making a difference in society! You will be doing all this while getting healthier! Isn’t that quite rewarding?

My Thoughts: I loved this cookbook. The recipes were interesting, creative and easy to understand(even if you are new to cooking in general). And some of the recipes were Dairy(big plus for me ), gluten-free, raw.So if you are new to Veganism/vegetarianism this book is perfect for you. Some of my favorite from this cookbook  “Lettuce Wraps”(very easy to make ) “Raw Kale Salad”(my mom’s favorite) and “Creamy Tomato Soup”( because I’m obsessed with tomato soup at this moment ). A little downside, I couldn’t find some ingredients for the recipes in my country and I would love to have pictures of the dishes in the book for reference(I have an ebook, maybe in physical they have them), But overall I think it’s a great cookbook.

My rating:4/5 stars4-stars
