Hello, my darlings. Can you imagine we are so close to Christmas? Today I want to talk about movies…Christmas movies to be exact. I love to eat cookies, drink cacao and watch Christmas movies in December before Christmas, and I want to share with you all some of my favorites, So let’s start!
Christmas with the Kranks
Finally alone for the holidays, Luther (Tim Allen) and Nora Krank (Jamie Lee Curtis) plan to eschew the Christmas traditions and take a cruise in the Caribbean instead. This doesn’t sit well with their Christmas-obsessed neighbors Vic Frohmeyer (Dan Aykroyd) and Walt Scheel (M. Emmet Walsh), who are determined to win the annual “best-decorated street” competition, and the Kranks soon find themselves social outcasts because of their lack of Christmas spirit.
Why I love it: It’s a very funny, light and nice Christmas comedy. We love to watch it together with all the family.Recommend for a little “slice of life” Christmas comedy!
When bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother (Catherine O’Hara) makes him sleep in the attic. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two con men (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence and that he alone must protect the family home.
Why I love it: Cmon this is a classic. I have so many good childhood memories of this movie, we always watched it on the Christmas day.If you haven’t watch it then I definitely recommend you to see it!!!
The Santa Clause
Divorced dad Scott (Tim Allen) has custody of his son (Eric Lloyd) on Christmas Eve. After he accidentally kills a man in a Santa suit, they are magically transported to the North Pole, where an elf explains that Scott must take Santa’s place before the next Christmas arrives. Scott thinks he’s dreaming, but over the next several months he gains weight and grows an inexplicably white beard. Maybe that night at the North Pole wasn’t a dream after all — and maybe Scott has a lot of work to do.
Why I love it: It’s such a magical and cute movie, definitely for the whole family.I just love the storyline and the actors …Definitely, a great movie to watch before Christmas or on the Christmas day.
A gang of thieves calling themselves the Santa Claus Gang are wreaking havoc, and the police can’t keep up. Police Captain Gilbert is distracted by a Chinese reporter writing a story on his squad, detective Emilien’s wife has just announced that she’s pregnant, and taxi driver Daniel is in the midst of a relationship crisis. After a string of mistakes in which the thieves outsmart the police time and time again with a reporter there to record it all, Daniel and his super-taxi pitch in.
Why I love it: Sometimes all the “magic” gets too much for me, and this movie is my go to at the holiday season when I want something more action packed but still festive. A great movie, check it out if you like action/comedy movies.
Tell me in the comments, What is your favorite Christmas movie?
That’s it from me
